Ingredients: Spearmint, Wild Harvested Stinging Nettle, Red Clover & Dandelion root.

In Taoist / Chinese medicine good health is achieved when our life force, or Chi, can freely flow and nourish the cells and organs in the body. Jing represents the energetic building blocks or foundation ingredients that create chi when assimilated into the body. We named this blend of tea Good Jing because its ingredients are deeply nourishing herbs that bring a wide variety of vitamins and minerals up deep from the earth to provide a boost to our nutrition and help build chi. We harvest and dry spring time wild stinging nettles and dandelion roots and combine them with wild harvested red clover flowers and spearmint from the garden. This combination creates a refreshing tea that is rich in nutrition. Taoist tradition says that jing transmutes into chi when love is the catalyst, so we recommend relaxing and enjoying a cup of this tea with a friend, loved one, or a furry companion.

Brewing

We recommend letting herb teas steep for 15 minutes or more. Roots such as dandelion are dense and take a little longer to release all of their beneficial properties. Sometimes we even simmer the roots separately in a decoction before adding the leafy portions to a tea. Our Good Jing blend has finely powdered dandelion roots but still benefits from a long steep. We find that some of the more subtle flavors emerge as the tea begins to cool. This tea can be enjoyed both hot or cold.
